My Story
I'm George, a BABCP-accredited psychotherapist with experience working in the NHS.
My approach is grounded in a straightforward conviction: the right therapeutic intervention, delivered at the right time, can be profoundly impactful. It doesn't always take years. What matters is the quality of the work and the fit between therapist and client.
I came to psychotherapy through a longstanding interest in the internal nature of so many of life's challenges — the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that shape how we experience the world and ourselves. Developing the skills to work with those effectively, and helping others do the same, is what this work is built on.
I hold accreditation with the BABCP, the leading professional body for cognitive behavioural therapies in the UK, and bring direct NHS experience to my private practice.

My Philosophy & Approach
Therapy works best when it feels like a genuine collaboration. My approach is grounded in CBT — one of the most well-researched therapeutic frameworks available — but what that looks like in practice is less about following a rigid structure and more about working together to make sense of what's going on for you.
We start by building a shared picture of the problem: not just what's happening, but how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are all connected and keeping the difficulty in place. That understanding becomes the foundation for everything else. From there, we work out together what changes are most likely to help, and begin moving toward them at a pace that feels manageable.
Underpinning all of this is a focus on your values — what matters to you, and what kind of life you want to be living. Progress in therapy isn't just about feeling better in the short term. It's about building something that lasts.
Getting Started
An initial 30-minute appointment on Teams is offered free-of-charge for all new clients. Following this my standard rate is £75 for each 60-minute session.
Availability: Saturday and Sunday, Monday-Friday after 17:30. I suggest we book sessions in blocks of 3-4 to ensure consistency and progress over time.
